So I ate some real food and may have a bit of energy to do homework now. Hopefully. Although I do just want to sleep some more. I've been awake for 4 hours. Isn't that enough?
rossja: (Guh)
I completely slept through Saturday. No really I did. I was up for maybe 2 hours where I read through LJ, ate some popcorn, drank some OJ. Then I dozed in and out on the couch b/c my neighbor's kid below likes to run around and scream A LOT! So at about 7 p.m., I went back to my bed where the fan is on and tends to block out the noise and well now it's noon. I'm just sayin' I'm a bit dehydrated to say the least. :) Plus I have to get healthy pretty darn quick because I have an assignment due on Tuesday. *sigh*

I'm happy to announce that I just put on my favorite black sweater. Nothing makes me feel more cozy than wearing a sweater. :)

Now all I need is some hot chocolate and someone to cuddle with. Instead I shall get some office coffee and slave way in my cubicle. I guess that's a close second huh? haha!!

Today is one of those days where I really need a hug.

I guess it's just been too many rainy dark days in a row. :)

In a fit of distraction from my paper, let me just say this....

When trying to impress someone stating that you're intelligent it's best to spell it correctly versus describing yourself as "intellegent". I'm just sayin'.

Which with Reality Bites playing in the background (I actually put it on for the opening scene for our presentation which is due on the 13th. I got sucked in though), the funniest Ethan Hawke moment as I was typing this LJ was when he states about Ben Stiller, "He's the reason why Cliff Notes were invented."

teeheeheehee...

9:57 p.m. - A page and a quarter into my autobiography paper that has to be 8-10 pages long. Surprisingly it was an easy page and a quarter to write and I got out one of my theories already. It's backstory, but makes sense. I think I'm nervous from the standpoint that I wanted to use a different theory as my 2nd one, but didn't get enough background for it. It may have helped if a) the prof said that we should research the theories more instead of saying it was optional and b) I wasn't such a procrastinator. D'oh....

10:36 p.m. - 3 1/2 pages. Now is a good time to break b/c the story is complete. I just need to begin to add my second theory (see the social attachment LJ post) and then what it is that I plan to do about it. That's the hard part. Really it is the hard part both in writing and in life.

11:22 p.m. - 5 1/4 pages. Second theory in. Just need to add the how I got there and the where I want to go part.

2:45 a.m. - 7 1/2 pages. No it didn't take me 3 hours to write a little under 2 pages. I watched Reality Bites, wandered around my apartment for a bit, and now I think I shall sleep. Although I think I need to beef up a couple of bits, I will say that the narrative aspect of the paper is quite nice. :)

nothing has ever made me want to post more than not being able to.

And now that I can, this is all I wanted to say. :)

Cracks me up.

It can be so informative about so many things.

It can also bring the past to life. Find people that you haven't thought about in years.

Ponderous man...really ponderous...

Questions from [livejournal.com profile] airsucker

THE RULES:
1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song. Or your favorite kind of sandwich. Something random. Whatever you like.
2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.

My Q&A )
rossja: (Default)
I don't know why I don't clean more often. My place, although it could always be cleaner, looks really nice right now. And when it looks less cluttered and what not, it makes me happy. It's not that big of a space. I don't know why I hate doing it so much b/c once I start, it's hard to stop. Although I do have to vacuum. I'm not that neighbor who vacuums at midnight. But I finished my cleaning with a nice shower, so now I'm all cozy and what not. Woot!

There is a nice sense of accomplishment for a job well done that just puts a smile on my face. I need to have people over more often. Although the last few people who have been over have had to put up with the mess b/c I wasn't in the mood to clean. Which is a first for me. It's all good. Of course this makes it sound like I live in the grossest place ever. I wouldn't say that's the case, but now it's shinier. :)

Books....

Nothing says school is a pain in the butt like the text book I have to buy for the summer semester. It's $92. Ned's has it for $.25 cheaper than EMU's bookstore. Oy vey!

No AC

Jun. 20th, 2007 10:52 am

I decided to turn my AC off last night to conserve on energy and it gets colder at night. That's fine except that one of the side effects of when it warmed up in my bedroom is that I don't want to wake up. It took a lot to get me out to bed today. But I'm up and with over 8 hours of sleep. I should start tracking my sleep schedule. I'd say that my goal would be to get 8 hours of sleep every night because it's better for me. But that's talking about undoing more years that I can think of with only 5-7 hours of sleep in a given night on average. And I don't even want to think about the days when I've had less than 5. :)
rossja: (Default)
I went to bed without a shower or hot water. It's not like it was the worst thing to ever happen to me. I was more dreading there not being hot water upon waking. And what I really don't get is how it seems like I'm the only one in this building who had a problem with the fact that there wasn't any hot water. I know other people live here too.

So I called this morning. I got a call back from the maintenance guy. I explained the situation. He tried to give me some song and dance about how it was just installed. I said yeah, I know. The problem is that it's not working. I haven't showered in two days now and we need to make that happen. So I told him what the guy in the office offered me yesterday to shower in the model apartment. (Not something I was thrilled with doing, but I couldn't go to work without bathing for two days)He said yeah that would be fine. I started gathering my stuff up. I heard them come into the building. I heard a rush of water. I turned on the faucet and there was hot water.

I jumped in the shower real quick. With shampoo in my hair there was a knock at the door. I jump out of the shower, throw on my night shirt and ran to the door. Fortunately we were able to communicate through the door and I found out that they never turned the hot water on all the way. *sigh* But it's fixed now, I've had my shower. Yes, it's just like a cup of coffee... :)

I finally have my current core issue figured out.

It's so simplistic, it's silly really.

Now to figure out what to do about it.

Back to the drawing board....
rossja: (Cool Picture)
After 1 hour on the treadmill, I serious feel like I am just gliding around my apartment.

And as Jimmy 'The Saint' said, "Girls who glide need guys who make them thump."

I'm just sayin'.

It's funny how you can not like something for a very long time and then it starts to make sense.

China by Tori Amos is one of those things.

Good to know...
