My Berfday...
Nov. 7th, 2007 11:38 pmIt was good stuff.
I didn't get a lot of sleep as I couldn't fall asleep last night, but I woke up around 10 a.m. I got to talk to
jtane online for a bit, which was nice because I hadn't talked ot him in awhile. I got to talk to Chapo, EM, and LEK from work that day, so that was nice. I talked to my family. I got my hair cut, and then I met NC picked me up (another girl I work with) and we met up with people at Josephine's in Ferndale.
Let me just say that it is the coolest place EVAR! Seriously! It is the best French food I've had since being back in the states almost 8 years ago now. We had appetizers of Cajun shrimp and another one of scallops. I tried someone's French onion soup, which was seriously the best soup I've ever had. I got the seafood crepe. It had shrimp and scallops with a newburgh sauce and a buckwheat crepe. To DIE FOR. Then as a birthday treat the chef sent me out a raspberry liquor shot in a dark chocolate thimble shot glass. To finish off the meal, I had a crepe with nutella, bananas and whip cream. It was AWESOME! Not to mention the fact that the chef actually came out and chatted with me a bit. He was totally cool and kind sexy for an older gentleman. And the wine was really cool. We had a bottle of white and a bottle of red and it was yummo! So to recap, if you live in MI or visit MI, I would HIGHLY recommend checking out Josephine's Creperie & Bistro in Ferndale.
The only thing better than the meal was that I was surrounded by people who care about me. That made it worthwhile. Chapo, LEK, EM, and NC from work came. Then there was
nevik_roc, Dewey,
schmise,
aerospcgrl,
mcniadh,
puggleville,
earthfiregirl,
madkingludwig, and
physic_phoenix. It's very cool to be loved.
